Not raising Prophet Muhammad above his rightful position

Not raising Prophet Muhammad above his rightful position

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is a human; he is affected by what affects humans of illnesses and death. The only difference between the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and other people is that he received revelation. Allah (Glorified is He) says, {Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´I am only a human being like yourselves who has received revelation} [Surah Al-Kahf: 110] Similarly, Allah told us that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not know the unseen, as He (Glorified is He) says, {Say [O Messenger of Allah], ‘I possess no power to help or harm myself, except as Allah wills. If I had had knowledge of the unseen, I would have sought to gain much good and no evil would have touched me. I am only a warner and a bringer of good news to people who have faith} [Surah Al-Araf: 188] In fact, when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) wanted to supplicate against certain people, Allah (Glorified is He) said to him, {You have no part in the affair. Either He will turn towards them or He will punish them, for they are wrongdoers} [Surah Al-Imran: 128] The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) warned us about raising him above his proper station when he (peace be upon him) said, < Do not exaggerate my praises as the Christians have done with Jesus, the son of Mary> [related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim] The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is held in a high position in Allah’s eyes, but to put him in too high a position as the Christians did with Jesus (peace be upon him) by giving him some divine attributes, like knowledge of the unseen, or to direct some forms of worship towards him is a crime against the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) which he warned us about.
