Respecting the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad’s mosque, his grave and his city

Allah (Glorified is He) says, {O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet and do not be as loud when speaking to him as you are when speaking to one another…} [Surah Al-Hujurat: 2] That is, a Muslim has to lower his voice in the Messenger of Allah’s mosque and at his grave, respecting the sanctity of his mosque and his grave. In a similar way, a Muslim has to respect the sanctity of the Messenger of Allah’s city because of his saying, <…I have made Madinah a sanctuary> [related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
